Skinformation Clinic now offers its clients a non surgical, pain-free method to achieve:

• fat removal
• cellulite reduction
• stretch mark reduction
• skin tightening

Our new Accent™ RF (radio frequency) system can successfully treat most areas of the body including:

• abdomen
• thighs
• chin
• 'love handles'
• buttocks
• hips
• calves
• ankles
• arms
• face

What are the alternatives for fat removal?
For many years liposuction has been one of the most popular cosmetic procedures performed worldwide. This procedure does, however, have some drawbacks, including;

• post operative pain
• risk associated with surgery
• downtime from work
• swelling and bruising
• the need for uncomfortable post operative compression garments

In addition, liposuction does not tone and tighten loose skin nor does it successfully address cellulite.

Lipodissolve is another alternative.
This procedure is less invasive than liposuction and is a non surgical procedure. It involves many small injections of a drug called PPC (phosphatidylcholine) to the treatment site of the body. The procedure has been successful in many cases, however, there are some drawbacks associated with this procedure, including:

• pain
• swelling
• bruising
• post-procedure nausea
• 7 to 10 day full recovery period

Who is an ideal candidate for Accent™ RF fat removal treatments?
If diet and exercise have failed to reduce your areas of unwanted fat, then the Accent™ System is ideal for you. The Accent™ System is extremely effective at removing fat and cellulite in areas that are not responding to traditional weight reduction methods.

This non invasive program is designed to improve body shape and remove unwanted fat from most areas of the body.

What makes the Accent™ RF system different from other fat removal systems?
One of the major benefits of this system is that it stimulates your body to produce its own collagen, during the treatment and for many months to come. This collagen production naturally tightens your surface skin and deep connective tissue. It also increases blood supply to the area to enhance removal of accumulated toxins in the cells.

How is the fat removal treatment performed?
The Accent™ RF System uses two different types of radio frequency (unipolar and bipolar) depending on the area treated and whether the target is fat, cellulite, skin tightening or a combination of these. The energy heats the target area to the optimal temperature for breakdown and removal of unwanted fat and skin tightening.
All treatment areas will be accurately mapped out and preliminary photographs will be taken to monitor your progress.
How long does the fat removal treatment take?
The procedure can take from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area being treated. Most treatments generally take 30 minutes.

What will I feel during the procedure?
Accent™ RF treatments may be likened to a deep heat massage. There is no pain associated with the treatment.

How will I look afterwards?
As most body treatments are carried out on a fortnightly basis you will notice a gradual change with each session. Your photographic record will support this. You should experience no discomfort during the procedure. However you may experience some localised redness on the treated area. This generally resolves within a few hours and you may continue with your day to day activities immediately with no side effects.

How soon will I see results?
Most patients notice a change after 4 sessions, however we generally recommend 6 to 8 sessions to achieve optimal results.

Cellulite. What is it?

Cellulite appears as uneven, lumpy 'orange peel' deposits deep in the tissue. Cellulite consists of fatty deposits which are caught in the body's fibrous connective tissue (often in the back of the thighs or buttocks). This 'trapped, disorganised fat' is extremely difficult to remove and is often resistant to diet and exercise. It is far more prevalent in women and appears to have a hormonal association.

Cellulite affects over 50% of Australian women. Furthermore, you don’t have to be overweight to have cellulite.

There are numerous treatments claiming to treat cellulite, including mesotherapy, deep tissue massage and endermology. In most cases the results are ineffective.

How can the Accent™ RF System treat my cellulite?
With Skinformation Clinic's anti-cellulite treatments you can now achieve a slimmer, trimmer figure, without the 'orange peel' texture.Using a combination of unipolar and bipolar radio frequency the affected area is gently heated to therapeutic temperature in the deep layers of the tissues. The heating process leads to a softening of the fibrous connective tissue. The increased blood and lymph flow then effectively carries the fatty deposits and body toxins safely away to be removed by our natural body processes.
The end result is a contouring, smoothing and tightening of the treated area.

What results can I expect from my anti-cellulite treatments?
You can expect a more toned appearance of the treated area with a general improvement in skin laxity. The appearance of stretch marks may also be reduced.
Many patients also report that they are able to lose weight more easily while undergoing their treatments. This is an added benefit of the Accent™ RF System.

How many anti-cellulite treatments will I need?
Generally, 6 to 10 fortnightly treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. Some patients with highly resistant, long term cellulite may require weekly treatments.

Is there anything I should do to maximise the results of my fat reduction and anti-cellulite treatments?
Yes! You MUST remain fully hydrated (before, during, after and between treatments). Adequate hydration enhances the effects of the treatment and helps to remove the fat and toxins from the body. Unless you are properly hydrated you may not achieve optimal results. 6 to 8 glasses of fluid per day (not including coffee) is adequate.

It is also advisable to follow a sensible balanced eating regime and perform moderate exercise (aerobic and weight bearing) on a regular basis. It is never advisable to crash diet. This slows the metabolism and causes accumulation of toxins which may worsen the cellulite.
